Samplerbox image has sample space on the SD card, used if you don't insert a USB stick. It's initially filled with some sets I used for testing and also show some configuration methods. It doesn't have to be so complex as you find here ofcourse :-) ------------------------------------ 0 Demo ------------------------------------ This one has a lot of voices for various purposes (like testing by me). All voices are based on the samples used in "3 Saw". Most voices have a self-explanatory name. The definition.txt has some explanatory comments. It be can hard the hear the differences between some voices. - most wav' based on the same 4 wav's, just other naming or minor editing - the release sample is short pitch down wav (listen carefully) The CCmap shows definition of - menubuttons on my midi keyboard - the three damp modes on the sustain pedal in voices 17/18/19 The notemap shows definitions of split keyboard and quarter notes. It also shows the straight definition of the 88-keyboard. Straight definition is redundant = not needed = just to show the system. When editing via the webgui, redundant entries will disappear. There is also a drumwav used in 5 definitions to show the difference between: - plain backtrack - backtrack triggered via keyboard: G#2 - the wav played in once mode: C#2 - the wav played in onc2 mode: D#2 - the wav played in loo2 mode: F#2 The wav itself has an intro, a loop part and an outtro part. If you're not a drummer, you may have a hard time to discern the parts :-) As they're all in the FX-track, they are voice-independent. ------------------------------------ 1 MidiPlayer ------------------------------------ This set contains the saw, some standard midi instruments, Gent's Belltower and two SMF files The notemap and ccmap show how to start and loop SMF files. "Mary had a little lamb" can triggered via A#3 and a drumpad on my keyboard "Another one bites the dust" can triggered via C#4 and a drumpad on my keyboard Looping of SMF can be toggled with D#4. As "Mary" is played on acoustic guitar which is not in this set, it shows the use of default voice. And I like it as a belltower song :-) ==> I discovered the software used by samplerbox seems outdated / has been improved: "Another bites the dust" runs into CPU issues in two fast playing fragments. I don't have issues on my development PI, so food for thought for now. I left it here as it gives you an idea what can / cannot be done. And yes, it sounds better with the peak limiter switched on. ------------------------------------ 3 Saw This set has no definition.txt. It shows the simplest method of making an instrument. ------------------------------------
