Hi DrumBox,
With a quality DAC it can be heard, in other words: I can hear it too with my production box.
The behaviour revived memory; it appears exact the same thing was reported a year ago but we left as being too small (and he had more pressing requests..).
What I notice:
My findings contradict with the old ("at every wav") and your report even adds "sample start".
The old report makes sense as he always uses mode=once.
For your new report I have no logical explanation as of yet.
Time for creative thinking, I'll put it on the issue list this time.

What I notice:
- It's only at sound end, I don't hear it in the beginning
- It's hardly noticable; you need to have a quality DAC and use headphone and/or set your amplifier too high for your neighbours
- It's only at sound end, notes-off go unnoticed when another sound is playing - no matter at how low volume.
