A new release/image is available: Sbox20220206, see the download area.
The documentation on the website is offcourse adapted, but you may need to refresh your browser's cache.
Existing users should read the README_existing-users.txt in the zip-file as this is a serious upgrade:
- Image is rebuilt from scratch to get up2date OS and hopefully easier OS upgrades in future (it's now stripped down raspbian buster instead of proprietary built).
- Python version is upgraded from 2.7 to 3.7 to enable use of supported libraries.
- No support for PI4 (and some more models).
- The SDA / SDA1 confusion ("my stick is not recognized").
- Internet not available though the box is connected to a network with internet.
- Extra actions needed when installing/importing extra software because of the non-standard setup.
- Support for cheap ebay HT16K33 I2C 7-segment displays
- Updated look of the Pimoroni display
- It's now possible to have both a display and LED's at the same time
- Added effects presets. These can be set on box, set and voice level as well as free to choose via web-gui or button menu.
- For the drumpad you can enable programchanges and/or CC-messages
- For the serial port you can define values for timeout and optional recognition of realtime & sysex messages (so they can be forwarded to midi-through - handle with care).
- Added multi-withmaster device, a combination of the master and an MT device
- Added layered voices (=more sounds per note)
- Fixed bugs in various areas.
